A Summer Day - Andy’s Story

I was born into a Protestant Christian family. My Grandfather was a Minister and both my parents were devout Christians. I stayed with my Grandparents a lot when I was young and loved living in the hustle and bustle of the manse. I also used to love attending church on Sundays and visiting people with my Grandfather. My Grandparents lived in a very rural setting in Scotland, probably a little smaller than a village. The surrounding countryside was beautiful. I used to spend hours walking and exploring the woods, fields, and beaches. It was on one of these outings one beautiful summer day, the song with the lyrics ‘God gave me eyes so I could see the wonders of the world’ popped into my head. In that moment, although I was young, I just knew that God existed. This changed my life. - Andy
