FAQs

How do I make friends as a Christian?

Meeting other Christians starts with getting intentionally involved in places where believers gather and taking initiative from a place of love.

Online platforms can help by connecting you with believers actively seeking genuine community and godly friendships, but someone needs to make the first step—get phone numbers, invite people for coffee, and be the person who reaches out first.

Meet New Christians is a free platform where you can find friendship, dating, mentorship, and Bible study groups all in one place. Unlike apps that only focus on preaching or dating, it's designed for genuine, personal connections with people who share your faith.

Is there a dating site for Christians in the UK?

Meet New Christians offers multiple ways to build connections that can lead to romantic relationships. Unlike traditional dating apps with endless swiping, our members can instead filter by age, proximity, faith journey, interests, etc. and message other members directly without having to "match".

Many Christians find that traditional dating apps feel too shallow or focused on appearance. Meet New Christians strikes the balance—we're faith-centered but allow relationships to develop organically.

The best Christian relationships often don't start with "dating" as the sole focus. When you have opportunities to connect with other believers through friendship, mentorship, or shared spiritual activities, you get to know someone's character and faith authenticity before romantic feelings start to form. This approach tends to create stronger, more Christ-centered relationships.

I'm new to Christianity. Where do I start with community?

Most believers started exactly where you are, so there is no need to feel behind.

Christian community is about journeying together, not performing, and there are welcoming people at every stage of faith ready to meet you where you are.

Can I join a Bible study if I've never done one before?

Yes. Bible study groups are often the friendliest entry point into Christian community, designed for questions rather than answers. You can find beginner-friendly groups near you on Meet New Christians, where members are happy to welcome newcomers and help you find your footing.

How do I find a church as a new Christian?

Start by visiting a few local churches to see where you feel comfortable, as most will have a welcome team or newcomers' service. You might also ask a Christian friend or colleague for a recommendation, as having someone walk through the door with you for the first time makes a real difference.

Is it normal to feel nervous meeting other Christians?

Completely. Many people worry they will not be "Christian enough" or will not fit in, but genuine Christian community is built on grace, not judgement. The good news is that most believers remember exactly what it felt like to be new, and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
